So after reading the Press release from Atlanta on June 21, 2011 the Great American Cookies announced that it is partnering with the Yellow Ribbon Fund, Inc. to present the brand’s first ever summer Yellow Ribbon Campaign. Kicking off on July 4th and running through September 16th, Great American Cookies will donate $2 from the online sale of every Yellow Ribbon, Uncle Sam Hat and U.S. Flag Cookie Cake to the organization. Great American Cookies is managed by GFG Management, LLC, a subsidiary of Global Franchise Group.

They even had celebrated the new program recently during New York City’s 24th Annual Fleet Week by unveiling a one-of-a-kind 16’ by 12’ patriotic Super Cookie Cake. The Super Cookie Cake took around 20 hours to bake and decorate, weighed 400 pounds and contained 6,000 chocolate chips! Oh My GOSH now that is ONE HUGE COOKIE!
The goal of this mission is simple, they hope that the money they raise through their Yellow Ribbon Campaign will help to ease the burden of injured service members and their families.
